Get Useful Food Info at MyFoodAPedia

You are what you eat. Or something like that.

When trying to maintain a healthy life, we need to be more knowledgeable about what we eat: its calorie value, and the appropriate food group it belongs to. I found an easy way to get this info (thanks to MakeUseOf.com), by just going to the MyFoodAPedia website.

At MyFoodAPedia, you enter a food name, and it will display possible matches for that particular type of food. When you choose an entry, you will be given info on Food Group, Calories, Daily Recommendation, and Daily Limit.

As an example, I entered 'cereal', and got this list: Cheerios, Corn flakes cereal, Froot Loops cereal, etc. I chose Cheerios, and got useful info, particularly its food group and calories. You can also compare two foods if you like. This helps you choose, for example, a low calorie cereal to help you jumpstart your day.

And with these info, you can become a better-informed shopper the next time you make your grocery list, or decide what to have for your lunch and/or dinner. (^-^)
